Mummy, Lots of Love, Faith
Here we meet 22 year old Andrea, whose life was turned upside down when a series of health worries led to the unexpected diagnosis of Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, soon after her marriage to husband John. Talking us through the early stages of her treatment, Andrea explains how her three year old daughter, Faith, plus the added support of her family, gave her the strength and courage to carry on fighting. After nervously waiting on a series of test results, Andrea talks about having chemotherapy and experiencing the side effects of treatment, explaining how difficult it was to face the prospect of losing all her hair. As well as the physical difficulties of chemo, Andrea talks about how emotional it was to see Faith react to the situation, especially not being able to see her as much in the beginning.

Andrea,
I live in Canada,I grew up in Sandy Row where your Grandmother came from and I have got to know your Grandfather through the Belfast Forum. He gave me your website so I hope you don’t mind. I just wanted to tell you what a beautiful brave young lady you are. You have a beautiful daughter and a loving husband and family who I am sure give you all the love and support they can. I thank you for sharing and I know it must be extremely difficult for you and you have my love and admiration.
God Bless you, your husband and family. I pray that you will have a wonderful Christmas. Love……….Valerie Henry

Hi Andrea
For months now my family and I have been thinking of you and remembering you in our prayers. I too have gotten to know about you through your Grandfather via the Belfast Forum and he has kept me informed of your progress.
You are indeed a courageous, beautiful young woman and what a gorgeous wee daughter you have, she is a real stunner, I bet she is looking forward to Santa coming.
You, your husband, daughter and family circle should know that you are not alone, there are a lot of folks routing, praying and thinking of you.
I trust you will have a lovely Christmas and wish you Good Health and Happiness in 2009.
God Bless.
Jeannie

Hi Andrea
You don’t know me but I just wanted to thank you for making this film. Your story is very similar to mine, especially the way you were diagnosed and the symptoms you experienced. I’m 25 and was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in November 2008. It’s just very reassuring to hear from someone in a similar situation. Thank you and I hope you are well again very soon.
