Gavin
Gavin tells us about his diagnosis of leukemia, and some of the procedures he had to go through. There are also thoughts from his mother. And advice on coping. Highly informative.

Hi,
This is a totally amazing video Gavin. I had leukaemia when I was younger, and your video really was great, if I could have seen something like this when I was diagnosed it would have been a big help! Well done!

It’s so hard to watch these now that Gavin is gone but I think they demonstrate Gavin’s courage and bravery throughout his illness.
I have known Gavin for almost all of his life, the family live right next door to me and I often babysat for Gavin and his brother Nicky when we we were growing up.
As you can all see from the video diary, Gavin was a warm, funny and energetic wee character! There was literally never a dull moment when Gavin was around. When was getting up to badness when I babysat him, I think he knew that he could charm me with one of his gorgeous big smiles and I could never stay mad at him!!
I visited him a few times when he was in the City Hospital and I was blown away and humbled at how he took everything in his stride and never let it get the better of him.
I feel so, so privileged and proud to have known him. He will forever be in my thoughts.
